What a great way to spend a normally boring winter weekend! Snowfest is fun
for the entire family! Snowfest is one of the top snow sculpting and ice carving
events in all of this continent! Come and see the amazingly detailed ice sculptures
and the incredible larger than life snow carvings.
Zehnder's of Frankenmuth has hosted Snowfest for the last 13 years now. The festival now includes international, national, state, high school, and elementary (for fun) snow carving competitions. Ice carving competitions are held at the collegiate, national, and state levels.
Schedule of Events for Snowfest
International Snow Carving Championship
February 2 - 5
Snow sculptors from around the nation compete in the international snow carving
competition with 10x10x20 blocks of snow to create amazing snow sculptures
on the north side of Zehnder's of Frankenmuth.
US Snow Sculpting Competition
February 2 -5
New to Snowfest over the past few years is the US snow carving competition.
Snow sculptors from accross the United States will compete with 10 x 10 x
10 blocks of snow to create the best sculpture.
Children's Snow Sculpting
February 1, 2, & 3
Even the kids get a chance! Snow sculptors donate their time at snowfest to
help elementary kids learn the craft. Hundreds of students from local schools
experience the art of snow carving by creating sculptures from their own blocks
at Snowfest 2005!
High School Snow Sculpting Competition
February 3rd & 4th
